From the Summer's Garden

PROJECT MEXICO DONATION

Through the funds generated by the sale Bill Jones' handmade Soaps and Cremes at our Here Comes Santa Claus event, we were able to make a $935.00 donation to St. Innocent Orphanage and Project Mexico.  During the month of December, a generous benefactor has offered to match any donation...that means the orphanage will really get $1870.00!  Click here to check out the great work being done for kids at Project Mexico.

HYPERTUFA PROJECT-GRAPELEAF FOUNTAIN

Brenda and her husband grow grapes for Kansas vintners.  She has participated in several Hypertufa Studios and made lots of cool stuff.  Her latest piece is this stunning grape and leaf fountain.  She used a large and small wedge form for the base and upper fountain piece.  Then she cast real grape leaves and sculpted the bunches of grapes from concrete as ornaments.  The pump in the bottom, pumps water up into the upper unit where it trickles out of a hole among the grapes on each of the four sides. Awesome!

SANTA, SANTA, SANTA!

 Santa Claus came and joyfully reigned over the festivities at our Here Comes Santa Claus event. For some reason, he was especialy fond of this stake!

 Santa was busy handing out homemade brown sugar taffy, and awarding drawing prizes to lucky guests...and of course, he was always ready with a Christmas riddle or two!
