Guest Artist: LYNN BAXLEY

Lynn Baxley is making masks again! In keeping with her garden theme each face is adorned with a vine garland harvested from Lynn’s gardens and woods. They will be equally charming on a garden fence or hang indoors on a wall to bring the garden spirit in year round.
She also believes angels belong in the garden all the time! Her newest version is designed to slide over a rebar garden stake or hang on the wall. You find many other fine hand built ceramic pieces by Lynn at Counting Our Blessings.

Guest Artist: NATALIE THOMAS

For this holiday season Natalie Thomas, owner of The Potter's Obsession Gallery & Teaching Facility, wanted to create height for the holiday table. This can be achieved nicely with her wheel thrown cake stands and pedastal bowls. Some simple, yet elegant in a white glaze while others are inspired by nature. This year she has created a series of serving dishes with impressions of pine needles, stained and glazed in an opalescence glaze. These pieces will bring a soft but festive touch to your table.
We can't forget about our dear fairies and have supplied them with a selection of their own holiday decor. Natalie has created adorable pieces for a fairy winter wonderland. Complete with Santa's mailbox, bird baths, sleds, signs, skate ponds and more. Change up your fairy garden accessories to fit the season! Come check out Fairyland located in the garden and lit up for the holidays at Counting Our Blessings.

COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS GNOMES

These gnomes are waiting to meet you at Counting Our Blessings. The large one on the right is a stepping stone and the little guy in the middle is a "sitter" who can perch on the edge of a step or shelf. He has space between his hands to hold whatever fits there like a tea light or a little star, for example. Finally it wouldn't be a holiday celebration with out a gnome Santa sporting bright stars on his robe. All are "outdoor-able" and made of concrete.

HEARTS AND HOME COLLAGE

This is a series of small hearts and varied house shapes that can be combined in many different ways to make a cool wall collage.  They are made form lightweight concrete with hangers aon the back sides.  Find these amdn many more new things at Counting our Blessings open 10-5 every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in November and the first week in December.

SHELL MOSAIC STEPPING STONES

Here is a group of new stepping stones inspired by the ocean. While walking the beach each morning in North Carolina, I collected these really beautiful ocean-washed shell fragments. Sort of like the way the water softens the edges of sea glass, these thick shell fragments had been worn smooth on the edges but retained the striations in the shell surface. We used them in simple mosaic patterns on three sizes, 8" square, 6" x 13" and 13" square.

Guest Artist: Leanne from south 20 Studios

Leanne from South 20 Studios does not really enjoy creating her artwork in multiples because the thrill of creation loses it's magic. We are very lucky she has conceded to make multiples on some of her pieces because word at our sale has it that you "should buy it when you see it or it will be gone". Leanne's work is so appealing and exciting because she never stops surprising us with new directions and techniques. Get a load of this!

Original plasma cut tool art for your garden or home from South20Studios.

Bring your own steel shovel (wood handle) on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday opening weekend of Couting Our Blessings and you can
custom order your very own message or picture that will be plasma cut from the shovel for $95 each.

Our Opening Nigh Party is Thursday, November 3 from 5:00-8:00.
We'll be open 10-5 Friday Saturday and Sunday every weekend in November and the first weekend in December.

Guests Artist: Bemeby Yocum

Beauty, whimsy and faith are a few words that drive artist Bemby Yocum’s work. Bemby seeks inspiration from the world around her, the way a branch crosses the sky, the way the fields roll into the clouds and from each of the creatures they shelter. Over-arching all of these is her fierce fascination with and love of color.
Bemby enjoys all seasons, but winter is by far her favorite season, the more snow the happier she is! She loves creating pieces that can be displayed and enjoyed all through the Christmas and winter season. Bemby often incorporates her faith into her work and desires that it would encourage you to count your blessings and bring you joy. Her sincere hope is that her work will help you embrace the gentle beauty of this season and that you will recognize the blessings that surround you every day.
You won't want to miss Bemby's unique nativities! She made one for Laurie and me many years ago and we bring it out every Christmas. Her seasonal palette-board signs make terrific and very affordable gifts too. These will all be available at Counting Your Blessings.

Holiday sale- COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS

LISA FREEMAN- Guest Artist

Lisa Freeman is one of our guest artists at Counting Our Blessings. For Lisa, 2016 has been the year of creating pieces using rediscovered art supplies & materials hidden deep in the artist’s studio. Newly found oil paints from her college days combined with the plethora of bee’s wax from her husband’s bee hives has brought Lisa into the world of encaustics. These pieces are truly unique, rich in color with a beautiful rubbed finihed surface. They are as yummy as the honey that was made with them! She has also refined her work in fibers and created new vibrant wall quilts, pillows, and cross-body purses. Lisa will be working the night of our pening party, Thursday, November 3 from 5:00-8:00. Come join the fun!
