GET DIRTY ON MEMORIAL WEEKEND!

We've recreated the Designer's Showhouse display on this final weekend of our Spring Event,
GET DIRTY, but not that dirty.  
You'll find plenty of red-orange everywhere, both in bloom and on containers. 
We'll be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and
Memorial Day Monday from 12:00-5:00 each day.

This spring is amazing and we've enjoyed many "firsts".  Here's another one-...fresh cherry pie in May!  Our spring event continues this weekend.  Get Dirty...but not that dirty is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00- 5:00 each day. Come join us...just look for the cherry tree loaded with red fruit!

GRADUATION 2012

Connor, one of our Studio Assistants, is graduating from eShawnee Mission South this Tuesday evening. He will be attending KU in the fall.

CUSTOM COLORING -JUST WHAT YOU LIKE !

"PLANT UP A POT"


  Halings Greenhouse has a nice selection of super healthy, vigorous plants that look great as soon as you plant them...only $3 per plant!  Do this when you purchase a hypertufa container and you'll have a knockout planting ready for display.

GET DIRTY GUEST ARTIST LYNN BAXLEY

 Lynn's textural hand built ceramics items have a function in addition to being aesthetically beautiful. Her ceramic birdhouses are cool just by themselves but make excellent wren houses. Large decorative balls, perfect accents in your garden, can be used as votive candle lanterns.  She also has a variety of tasteful entertaining plates, bowls, servers and charming soap dishes that fit our handmade soaps perfectly.
 New this spring is this mid-sized flower vase that sets off large blooms like these peonies and smaller mixed bouquets too!

GET DIRTY GUEST ARTIST ROBIN MACKINTOSH

 Robin loves to give things new life.  She truly espouses "RENEW, REUSE, RECYCLE". Here are two examples of how used zippers can be made new again in the form of whimsical,
unusual and very interesting body ornaments.  They are more than jewelry, they adorn your body!

WINE AND DIP TASTING PARTY

 Mary Rimann from Rimann Liquors served a fresh selection of local reds and whites and Nina Ward from KC Gourmet sampled her tasty dips at our spring Wine and Dip Tasting Party.  Both shared plenty of great ideas on how to include these taste delights in summertime entertaining. 

GUEST ARTIST- PAULA HAYEK

Paula's newest critters are in a collection of whimsical rabbits.  She also is a bird lovers and has a tree full of charming plush birds soon to be joined by fun-loving trendy owls.  Paula's artwork is delightful and humorous.  She is a great collaborator and partnered with me on the Get Dirty Critter stones and stakes for this spring.


GET DIRTY GUEST ARTIST LIZZ DORGAN

 Lizz is Queen of stained glass mini-stakes for the garden and containers.  Her stuff is like a potato chip...you can't have just one!  This spring she has designed a new series of stakes set in natural stone. They can sit on a table top or go anywhere you want to put them.  Add to that her helpful, congenial 
customer service and you have a royal winner!

GUEST ARTIST SOUTH 20 STUDIOS

 Leanne at South 20 Studios is always full of surprises.  Her hot items this spring are new large metal flower stakes with mosaic balls for centers and her infamous hanging garden monkeys.  She has many other interesting items that you shoudld take a look at as well including custom metal dog portratis, ingenious jewlery and this year, another first for her, gourd birdhouses.

GUEST ARTIST KAREN SKILLETT

 With spring comes newness and Karen has really brought some really fun new stuff to GET DIRTY this year.  Pins, bracelets, necklaces, magnetic message boards and paper weights are whimsical and filled with trendy colors.  Shes also created these new chalkware birds which are proving to be a hot item.
