AUGUST IS HANDMADE PAPER-MAKING TIME!

August is a wonderful time of year for making handmade paper from the herbs and flowers in the garden.We made a wide variety of beautiful papers. Some of them were immedialtely into paper bowls. These will be allowed to dry and then be coated with a transparrent sizing to make them permanent and hard. The colors are amazing!

Making paper requires lots of water in the beginning and then everything has to dry out before you can do something with it. Here are the sheets and paper bowls that were dripping wet yesterday, now entirely dried out.
